New York, NY - Cinema Village, one of New York City's most iconic independent cinemas, is known for premiering fresh, bold, and unforgettable films — and The Wilde Girls is no exception. Built in 1963, this historic theater has hosted generations of groundbreaking cinema in the heart of Greenwich Village, making it the perfect home for the East Coast debut of this hilarious and heartfelt new comedy. The Wilde Girls opens June 6th at Cinema Village, Manhattan.

Directed by Timothy Hines (10 Days in a Madhouse) and produced by Susan Goforth, The Wilde Girls follows Tinsley and Mattie Wilde — two pampered heiresses, in 1932, who lose everything during the Great Depression and are forced to survive in the rugged wilderness…without the slightest clue how. It’s a roaring mix of heart, humor, and history — like Clueless crashed into The Revenant, with heels, hysterics, and a lot of heart.

Leading the charge are breakout stars Cali Scolari — daughter of the late, great Emmy Award-winning actor Peter Scolari, beloved longtime collaborator of Tom Hanks — and rising indie darling Lydia Pearl Pentz, fresh off completing four new upcoming feature films. Also joining the survivalist chaos is Teddy Smith, affectionately known as "New York's Favorite Comic," bringing his stand-up brilliance and sharp wit to the big screen.

“This film is a love letter to resilience — and it’s outrageously funny,” says director Hines. “It’s about what happens when you lose everything you thought defined you — and find out you’re stronger, braver, and way funnier than you ever imagined.”

The Wilde Girls will have its East Coast opening following its May 30th launch at the prestigious Laemmle Theaters in Los Angeles. A nationwide theatrical rollout is planned for July, bringing this must-see comedy to audiences across the United States.
