Today, Samsung Electronics America proudly names the winners of the 15th annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow STEM competition—a national education program that challenges public middle and high school students to turn science, technology, engineering, and math concepts into real-world solutions for challenges in their local communities. The three National Winners—each awarded a $100,000 prize package for their schools—were announced by Yoonie Joung, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics North America: Bentonville West High School from Centerton, AR; Bloomington High School South from Bloomington, IN; and Charter School of Wilmington from Wilmington, DE.

Demonstrating that Gen Z and Gen Alpha students embody “STEMpathy”—the fusion of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) skills and a compassionate drive to solve community challenges—Samsung Electronics America has announced the 10 National Finalist schools advancing in the 15th annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition. Selected based on the project pitch videos submitted by this year’s 50 State Winners, each Finalist team will be awarded a prize package of $50,000 in Samsung technology and classroom supplies, and will advance to the final competition round.

Today, Samsung Electronics America will launch the 2022-2023 Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) Artificial Intelligence Course in the United States and further its commitment to empowering the next generation through education. Under Samsung’s global corporate citizenship vision of “Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People,” Samsung Innovation Campus will enable Millennial and Gen Z participants across the United States to harness future technologies and curate collaborative experiences. This will be the program’s second year in the U.S., which has shown a 55% technical competency improvement rate globally since its launch in 2019.1
